The Green cape islands are in the west side of Africa, below the canary islands if you take a look to a map, first discovered by portuguese sailors in the XV century.
As every African area colonized by Europeans, we exhausted every inch of the natural resources leaving then the problem to the inhabitants. However, in an example not so often, the independetist parties laed some initiatives to reforest and boost internal agriculure.
